The Japanese have invented a “transmitter of kisses”

A team of researchers from the Kajimoto Laboratory at the Electro-Communications University of Tokyo demonstrated a "transmitter of kisses", allowing people to kiss in the virtual space, reported DigInfo TV.

The system that

allows a remote kiss consists of two modules connected to the computer. The feeling of kiss is transmitted with the help of a curved plastic tip. The users put the straw like plastic into the mouth and turn it with their tongue clockwise or counterclockwise. The actions of the users are synchronized via the internet:"If you take one device in your mouth and turn it with your tongue, the other device turns in the same way. If you turn it back the other way, then your partner's turns back the same way, so your partner's device turns whichever way your own device turns".

The device is still in prototype, but it’s likely that this form of intimacy at a distance could be soon launched in Japan. The creators intend to subject the device to refinement. They admit that there is yet much work to do. In the future they intended to implement a module for the transfer of taste sensations and another one to simulate the breathing of the partner. How the scientists are going to implement these ideas, is not noted.

You can watch a video on YouTube to see the device in action.
